Founded in 2021 by Robert McCoy and Michael Curwood, DECO Builders is a Design-Build Practice located in South Florida and New York.

Robert McCoy

Robert McCoy is a construction industry veteran with 18 years of experience in commercial and high-end residential construction. His talent for construction management, combined with his cutting-edge systems, intelligence, and experience, have made him a valuable asset and thought leader in the construction industry. His relationships with the top trades and craftsmen in the industry have allowed him to streamline the construction process while staying laser-focused on quality and attention to detail.

Prior to Co-Founding Deco Builders, Mr. McCoy held numerous roles in the industry, rising quickly from Project Engineer to Estimator, then Senior Project Manager, and ultimately Head of Construction and Business Development. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from the University of Florida and is a Licensed General Contractor.

Michael Curwood

Michael Curwood’s lifelong passion for art and design led to his becoming a leading architect with over 18 years of experience in high-rise commercial and residential design and construction. His talent as an artist and designer, combined with his exceptional intuition to see the vision of the client and the project has given him a reputation for outstanding, long-term client relationships. Through his experience working on a wide variety of projects in the most challenging environments and situations, he knows what it takes to bring the most complex projects to reality.

Prior to Co-Founding Deco Builders, Mr. Curwood owned a successful Design Build Practice in New York. Under his management, the company designed over 64,000 sqft. of residential and commercial real estate and completed construction totaling over $155 million. Mr. Curwood is a licensed Architect and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Miami.
